These Terms govern your use of Avid — a conversational reading companion built to deepen understanding, spark insight, and support lifelong learning.
By using Avid, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Responsibilities
To use Avid, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old
- Use the service responsibly
- Avoid disrupting or attempting to compromise the platform
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Accounts and Access
Avid uses secure login methods, including email-based authentication and optional third-party sign-in.
You agree to keep your login credentials safe.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risks.
3. Your Content
Everything you input into Avid — messages, reflections, notes, saved insights — remains yours.
You grant Avid a limited licence to process that content solely to:
- Deliver conversations
- Personalise the experience
- Maintain system quality and safety
We do not claim ownership of your ideas.
We do not sell or share your content with advertisers.
4. AI-Generated Content
Avid generates conversational insights using advanced AI systems.
These outputs may occasionally be imperfect or incomplete.
Avid should not be relied upon for:
- Legal advice
- Medical advice
- Financial advice
- Any high-risk decision requiring certified expertise
Avid is a thinking companion, not a professional advisor.
5. Availability and Changes
We aim to offer a stable and reliable service, but:
- Avid may experience maintenance windows
- Features may evolve over time
- Access may be limited when necessary for security or performance
We are not liable for downtime or data loss beyond what is required by law.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Avid offers a free trial followed by paid subscription plans.
Pricing, renewal terms, and cancellation procedures are communicated clearly before charges occur. You may cancel at any time, and your saved content remains accessible.
A note for early adopters
As a thank you for joining early and helping shape Avid, early adopters receive permanent access to Plus features. This entitlement is tied to your account and cannot be transferred.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Avid is provided "as is"
- We disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid for Avid in the previous 12 months (if any)
8. Termination
